1920s bathing beauties




My latest series...
designed to look like a tattered page
torn from an old photograph album.
Lots of tone on tone layers, frayed fabrics,
silk, hand dyed lace, hand stitched details,
tattered bits and bobs...

  12. Gosh Lisa, you are so good at what you do! These are just fantastic, real works of art that should be cherished and loved! I especialy like the 2nd collage which has an autumn feel with the colours and leaves. Funny that you mentioned the photo album page effect because I'd already thought they looked like photo album pages before you said that!

  20. omg lady, i LOVE these! i keep excitedly popping by your blog, day after day after day to see if you'd finished them and now i see that you posted them 5 days ago!! we had a wind storm and fallen trees meant that we lost power for a wee bit and internet for a long bit. sucked. but omg, i am soooooo in love! these are gorgeous beyond words! you are ever so talented. i love the photos and the dark colors, the X stitches and all of the magnificent layers. you are the QUEEN!
