antique metal and wind.
the rusty wire is from the wall behind my shower
when we tore it out a few months ago
i wish i had saved more of it.

This is my entry for the July Mind Wide Open challenge.
The lovely images and word prompt are provided for all participants.

I used a couple of frames that I made out of old barn wood.
The elements are set in Glass Bead Gel Medium
(which is a lot of fun if you like messy stuff).
Lots of layers of aged fibers
and fabric give a tactile yet ethereal appearance
along with my usual found objects:
rusty junk, driftwood, beach pebbles and grapevine...

This is the image from last month's challenge...
though my inspiration came after the deadline!
The word choice was my own...again using dried lavendar,
driftwood, shells, grapevine,
aged fabric and vintage lace.

Both pieces measure 9"x9".
