It rather does seem that way to me too. It's a great way to re-familiarize myself with all of my goodies too. I even started a collage with some random bits that placed themselves in front of me while I was cleaning up.
Oh yes - been sifting, sorting and tidying all year, only to mess it up again and again! I suspect that's the nature of teh business - or rather, maybe it's the nature of me!
oh my ... what a beautiful studio you have! and i do love all the wooden surfaces and that trinket box ... sigh ... wish i had one like that then i can see all my stuff :)
Had to chuckle at your post tonight - I just cleaned my studio today! Have been working on several projects and decided I needed to refresh my space....
Lisa, doing the same thing here--only guess it will never be as tidy as your photoes here :) There are way too many odds and ends, I can`t throu out !!! silly me-makes the big room-very small, lol. Wish you happy creating, dear Lisa. XO,Dorthe
The studio looks FAB Lisa and wouldn't I love to dig in that "trinket" box! Must be the New Year, after all the rush with the holidays we're motivated to feel new and fresh. I hope YOUR holidays were simply marvelous! ♥♥♥
Tidying and organizing - one of my favorite things to do...over and over; this time I am carrying a tape recorder to tell myself where I put things. Your studio is ever so beautiful. Love your little friend with the floppy ears. Hugs, Joanna B
L- it is good to be able to9 see where other create - and to see what bits and pieces they have to create with - just love your tidy draw of bits and pieces - just a littttlllee bit of envy creeping in - have a good creative year. B
Your studio is looking good Lisa. Perhaps I would feel more motivated if my work space was as organized as yours. You've planted the seed, so.... I'll think about it for a while :-)
Love your space- so very uncluttered !!! How can you do what you do with all of teh fabulous bits and not ahvve them all over the place???? I have finally got the tree down and that is a huge step. Eldest's 19th B-day is tomorrow- just baked a butter cake from scratch and I am prepping for teaching some classes and readying things for shows. National Show deadline at FCCA a week from Friday- YOU SHOULD ENTER ONE OF YOUR FABULOUS PIECES!!!!!!! I would love to show your work off in Fredericksburg!! I would take excellent care of it!!!!!
What a great way to get through winter! Ha ha. You're right tho - I've just done it myself (and we're in summer!). Wonderful to be given such a rare but fabulous tour of your studio though, Lisa! I even felt a bit voyeristic!!
Oh no, I think I may be the only one NOT doing it! And boy do I need to. I literally have bits and pieces all over the floor in my studio from my last project! But you have inspired me to roll up my sleeves and get started. Tomorrow. Your studio is SO beautiful, btw. I just love all of the vintage pieces mixed with your work. :-)
Oh Lisa, I want that box of little tidbits!! Trade you...a dog, nah! Just kidding. Have to get some more goodies from you, I'm using the beautiful silks, love them. Great job on cleaning up, I have a BIG mess with all the sewing. Hugs, Riki
your studio is gorgeous and ever so clean! i've been working on mine on and off for about two months and it's nowhere near as lovely as yours! way to go, lady!
