Today is World AIDS Day...a day for remembering those whose lives have been lost and a time for recommiting ourselves to saving lives in the future.

During 2009 some 2.6 million people became newly infected with the virus and an estimated 1.8 million people died from AIDS."
HIV/AIDS has been a global epidemic for more than 27 years. Most of today's youth have never know a world without it. Having worked for many years as a Development Director for an AIDS Service Organization, I have seen first hand the devastating effects of this disease.
