Finally...Something New!

Whimsical Collage

Just finished this lovely work using one of my favorite quotes.

Lots of hand sewn details...

mother of pearl buttons, found objects, rusty elements,

antiqued lace, abaca paper and birds nest paper...

just to name a few.

This piece was inspired by some of the techniques I learned

at Collage Camp from KC Willis.

For the photographs I used TAP (transfer artist paper)

from Lesley Riley. I was a little skeptical a first as I have always

printed my images directly on fabric but I was pleasantly

surprised with the results.

The images transferred beautifully and it was a snap to use!

My favorite part of this collage was trying out some of the incredible

stitches on my new Husqvarna! It amazes me what

a sewing machine can do...

especially since my old machine only had a couple basic stitches.

Now all I need is a better camera as the photographs are still
0
my biggest challenge..

This collage is for sale and will be listed mid June after

we return from Maine.

Feel free to email me with any questions...

Beautiful, Lisa. So very delicate and meticulous, yet will and free all at once. How do you do it??
Maine sounds gorgeous, especially the way Elizabeth describes it!
