the definition of serenity...

if you've never visited the blog of
you are missing a real treat,
for it is a truly enchanting place
filled with her exquisite nature-inspired
textile art and photography

recently Carolyn sent me the most wonderful treasure

a precious handmade heart...

with the most extraordinary hand stitching and details
isn't it totally awe-inspiring...filled with elegance and tranquility?
I'd just love to vacation in that little cottage by the sea...
thank you so much Carolyn for such an inspiring gift..
sweet memories of favorite places and things.

What a precious heart gift. The detail is amazing, with a little cottage no less.

I think we all dream of relaxing in one by the sea from time to time.

That is lovely! Makes me want to pull out my fabric and thread and get sewing!

Serenity beside the sea indeed! Carolyn's work is enchanting and takes me back to the few days we spent in St. Ive's many years ago. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

Dear Lisa, hi!
A very beautifull heart, and a place for happy thoughts to come through -in the house incirkled in flowers .
Happy sunday-

Thank you for all the lovely comments you leave for me. I am blessed to have such a lovely friend. YOU inspire ME! When I first saw your work on flickr I just fell in love with it! Yes, the erosion bundle is going well. I hope the bugs don't eat all the calico!! Last time I didn's have so many wood lice on my bundles ... I thought I had better push them off before photographing (you know ... didn't want to put anyone off joining in!). The erosion project is a very exciting one. I like the randomness of the revealed pieces. I am too controlling by far ... so this is good for me!

Blessing to you, have a lovely week x
