flowers, roots and pulp

 song of the seasons collage
mixed media collage designed on a vintage book cover with
layers of fabric, paper, lots of textures and details.
thanks to Alicia for the lovely photograph!
now available on my Etsy.

so what is this?
the bare bones of my next project...
an altered book collaboration
with a group of extraordinarily talented ladies.
there are five participating in this
project :
Alicia of Altered Bits
Debrina of Debrinas Diary
Lisa of Lucky Dip
and myself.
each of us will complete a page
and the cover of our books then
send them out on a four month voyage so
that all other participants
can contribute their artistic talent and
intrepretation of the chosen theme on their
designated page or pages.

the blog is Pulp Redux
my theme is "roots...beneath the layers"

some of the elements that might be appearing in my book...

i am so excited to be a part of this
exciting artistic journey...
please visit the blog so you can travel along with us!

Hello Lisa - this just looks like it's going to be the most gorgeous altered book. I can't wait until I see what you do with it!! Your piece for sale on Etsy is so very beautiful, too. Alicia's picture is so gorgeous!! So old looking!! It looks as if it could fit just perfectly into that album you're going to alter.

Hi Lisa,
Every time you are on my blog follower, I know I can expect something so very beautifull, and this time also. This piece is very wonderfull, I love all you did with it, and all the bits and pieces on it.

Could I please ask you what the glass -like material on top of the picture is,? I have been looking for that some time, without luck, and like the idea of broken glass it gives.

The new book will be -I`m sure- a fantastic collection of art.

Hugs, Dorthe

omg, i kick myself for being so behind on blogs this week! your piece is amazing beyond words, lady! omg, i sooooo love her! YOU were the perfect person to make something so amazingly gorgeous out of that lovely lady. wow! if we were not broke right now i would go and snatch that piece up right this second because i've fallen in love at first sight. wow!! you are such an amazingly talented and inspirational lady!!!

know what's funny? i started a piece two days ago that has a somewhat similar wrapping of wire and fabric... however yours is WAY better! sooooo amazing, lady!

your album for the book is gorgeous too! i soooo can't wait to see where you take it and to play in it myself! this is going to be amazing beyond words, sweetness! i had a dream i was working on your book last night and i did a page, then added a hinged piece of mica like a little door over it. hmmmm. my dreams are so fun sometimes (i dreamed my newest mechanical art piece that i'm working on now too!). i think i'm more creative in my sleep, very much unlike you!

have been missin' you! hope you're great, lovely!! sending you heaps of hugs today.

xx
